Last night I was lucky enough to attend a Dr Bruce Robinson Event discussing children walking the thin red line.  It was comforting to realise that we have already been doing some of the parenting advice given by Bruce.  The main points that I took away from this event were to give your children one on one time ensuring you listen and not lecture.  This quality time will make your children feel worthwhile and will make the inner voice in their head easier to listen to when coming to making some of those hard decisions.  The other point is to prepare them for the obstacles that they may come across.  By preparing them with easy non-confrontational replies they will avoid falling into some difficult circumstances.  If you are interested in finding out more please visit The Fathering Project.
